Dear Colleagues and Friends,
It is a great honor to welcome you to the conference
A road to optimal interdisciplinary patient care ! 25 years of pain and palliative medicine in Nijmegen…
The meeting will be held at the concert hall De Vereeniging in Nijmegen.
Nijmegen is the eldest city of the Netherlands. Thousands of years, before the Romans founded Novio Magum, farming communities lived at the banks of the river Waal.
Two fragments of a religious sculpture that were dated at the year 17 are proof that Nijmegen is the eldest city of The Netherlands.
Past and present go hand in hand; historic buildings are interspersed with fine examples of modern architecture. Nijmegen is situated on a range of hills near the River Waal. The city has attracted people since its very foundation.
The surrounding area features hills, woods and polders, creating a varied countryside offering a range of recreational opportunities to both citizens and tourists.
We hope these wonderful surroundings will not distract you from the educational and scientific program being planned. In this meeting several subjects are discussed in plenary and parallel lectures. The meeting will open on April 15th and you can be assured that a stimulating program is being planned.
Weeze Airport has several connections in Europe and is an easy 30 minutes from the city center. The international Airport of Düsseldorf and Amsterdam are situated within an 1.5 hour drive of Nijmegen.
Additionally, we hope you will spend some extra time in our beautiful country with interesting city’s and a beautiful countryside.
On behalf of myself and our organizing committee, we are truly looking forward to seeing you in Nijmegen in April.
